A Rare Treat

Nothing but images from our frosty winter wonderland today. The moist air and sub-freezing temperatures last night worked together to make some incredible textural magic. Click on each photo to reveal the high resolution versions - they will knock your socks off.

LOL patty - yes indeed, we were definitely on the same page! your pix are terrific - looks like you had a bit more frost than we did. also, i don't have nice vegetation in my yard like you do, so i had to go with what i had. but it's all good...

notecards, indeed - yes!

Patty, those are great photos!

I am shopping for a new camera. What kind are you using if you don't mind me asking. We used to use an old Nikon non-digital and have all the old macros. I'm thinking maybe a Nikon D-90 body. I've heard they kept the same Bayonnet system.

Decisions...decisions.

Sharon and Maire - thank you.

I don't have an expensive camera, and in fact, it's one I've borrowed (temporarily) from my husband. It's a Pentax Optio W20, purchased for it's waterproof feature. But I do like what it does. Next time I'll use a tripod and the shots will be even better. These were snagged on the run, as it were.
