Something New in the Garden

Finally, one of my special irises has bloomed, and in a spectacular way. As usual, I can't recall the proper name of it. Is it Chinese New Year, or should it be called "Clio"? You decide. I know what I'm going to call it. Thanks for pointing that out, Pam.

That's beautiful! I love irises but can't get them to bloom down here so thanks for sharing yours.

Really? They won't grow in Florida? That's unfortunate. Everything else just seems to love it down there.

Oh, they grow like weeds! They just won't bloom. :)

My day has just be made 'complete'. I adore Iris & that one is particularly beautiful....
I'd say who cares about the name, lets just call it 'spectacular' ;)

Laurie - if it's any consolation I have trouble with mine up here too in Northern California. The ugly dark purple ones have no problem doing it year after year, but I don't have the knack with the special bearded ones. Guess I'll have to join the local Iris Society and learn the secret.

Deb - As usual, I like the way you think. :-)
